What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant Facilites Maintenance Manager position at Artistry Restaurants?
Artistry Restaurants is hiring a Restaurant Facilities Maintenance Manager to effectively manage all installations, repairs, and restaurant maintenance operations for a multi-unit restaurant group servicing the Central and Southern Florida locations. This individual will work closely with restaurant managers, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions.
This position will require flexibility in working hours which may include nights, holidays, and weekends. Ability to travel to your restaurants up to 90% of the time. Office time will be out of your home. This person MUST be located in the Sarasota or Bradenton area.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to :
- Serving as a liaison with city, county, and state as it relates to fire and occupational safety.
- Performs preventive maintenance service, emergency repair, and cosmetic repair on restaurant equipment and property; performs necessary modifications to equipment installations.
- Maintain, train, and enforce all applicable safety procedures and standards of operation for building maintenance.
- Travel to properties for contractor meetings and inspections. Also, travel to and inspect all restaurants a minimum of four (4) times annually.
- Respond to, prioritize, and complete work orders on maintenance requests. Make sure all exterior and interior repairs are scheduled or completed as needed.
- Work alongside maintenance technicians to troubleshoot issues at various worksites.
- Monitors and oversees outside contract work in assigned stores, assures proper coordination and communication between all concerned parties.
- Assists supervisor with recommendations regarding capital budget expenditures for equipment, building and property repair or replacement.
- Maintains current service and warranty records and prevents unwarranted repair expenses or violation of warranties.
- Maintains an active list of vendors for various trades by restaurant / region and adds to or purges, as necessary, to maintain a high-quality vendor workforce to assist us in our on-going needs.
- Conduct regularly scheduled restaurant audits (a minimum of one (1) per year) making recommendations for needed repairs and working with the Management Team by training or coaching on how to effect minor repairs to help reduce repair costs and provide a safer environment for our guest and team members.
- Manage cyclical services such as hood cleaning, grease trap pumping, fire suppression, carpet cleaning and other services as deemed necessary.
- Provide hands-on maintenance of kitchen equipment, plumbing, refrigeration and electrical in all restaurant and retail locations.
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications, and general facility maintenance tasks in the areas of painting, patching, fixtures, caulking, flooring, carpentry, locksmith, and any other preventative maintenance and general facility maintenance task that may arise.
- Maintain all HVAC and refrigeration systems including installing, operating, and maintaining all aspects of temperature control.
