What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilites & Grounds Maintenance Attendant position at Troon?
I. Department: Maintenance
II. Reports to: Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Manager
III. General Purpose: Directly executes maintenance projects in accordance with Troon Quality Standards.
IV. Essential Duties:
• Executes maintenance-related projects throughout the amenity facilities and general grounds of the community as directed by the Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Manager
• Provides timely and accurate reporting of all maintenance-related information as directed, requested, or required by management.
• Provides a positive working environment that fosters teamwork, communication, ethical behavior, cleanliness and a “can do” attitude.
• Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by management.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
V. Education/Experience:
• Associate degree (AA) or Trade School Certificate preferred but not required; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
VI. Language Skills: May be required to:
• Effectively present information to management.
VII. Physical Demands:
• Regularly stands and walks; climbs or balances.
• Regularly uses hands; reaches with arms and hands.
• Frequently talks or hears.
• Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.
VIII. Vision Requirements:
• Regularly uses close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception. Ability to adjust focus.
VIIII. Environment/Noise:
• Occasionally work in wet or humid conditions and near moving mechanical parts.
• Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
• Noise levels moderate to loud.
X. Certificates/Licenses:
• Valid Driver’s License.
XI. Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences
• Ability to read and speak English is required to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the Associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the Associates may use are in English).
• General knowledge of low-voltage lighting preferred.
• General knowledge of mechanical operations preferred.
• General knowledge of pool equipment preferred.
