What are the responsibilities and job description for the Salon Coordinator/Receptionist position at Artistry SALONsouth?
This is a customer-service and retail sales position for our growing salon company.
Who we are looking for:
Our Salon Coordinators offer support to our Hair Artists and provide a friendly, excellent experience to our valued guests to continue our upstanding reputation in the industry.
This position is an integral part of the team, working closely with all stylists and fellow salon coordinators, executing the functions of the front desk. The right fit for our team is goal-oriented, has positive energy, has exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking and social skills.
Daily duties include but are not limited to:
-Maintaining continuous knowledge of all products, services and monthly promotions/marketing to maximize sales potential
-Executing proper telephone procedures from established guidelines using appropriate customer service etiquette; answering, taking messages, reservation handling
-Use of computers and Envison salon software to maintain client record
-Receiving and managing payments of cash, check and credit card utilizing a cash register and point of sale
-Performing timely opening and closing duties following established procedures, and administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and emailing
-Presenting a clean, comfortable and organized environment by performing salon housekeeping tasks
-Greeting, assisting and educating guests on haircare and services and ensuring guest satisfaction with effective communication and active listening
-Assisting the stylist team with light cleaning (i.e. towel folding, sweeping, etc.) and overall supporting the salon flow
-Social media management and creation
Approximate Schedule:
> Tuesday: 7:30-4, Wednesday: 7:30-4, Thursday: 7:30-4, Friday: 7:30-4
Someone with Monday flexibility highly preferred for covering vacation and sick time of other colleagues when needed. Additional hours possible in these instances.
Preferred Skills:
Be organized, have a positive attitude, have an understanding of intermediate computer skills, have sales and customer-service experience, ability to work well with others, be able to multi-task and problem-solve, and enjoy helping people!
