ART Inc provides arts education opportunities to nearly 500 students and teaching artists each year. Job Desription
The Finance and Grants Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the financial health and grant compliance of our organization. Whether part-time or full-time, this role encompasses financial strategy, operational management, and grant administration. Candidates applying for the full-time role will be responsible for additional strategic oversight and leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities

- Financial Oversight: Manage cash flow, oversee financial records, and prepare periodic reports.
- Grant Administration: Act as the primary lead on grant management, from applications and compliance to reporting.
- Budget Management: Develop and monitor organizational and grant-specific budgets in alignment with goals.
- Strategic Leadership: Contribute to long-term financial strategy in collaboration with leadership. Time allocated to long-term planning increases for full-time candidates.
- Compliance: Maintain adherence to nonprofit funding regulations and grant guidelines.
- Audit and Tax Assistance: Provide support for annual audits and tax filings with external accountants.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (advanced degrees a plus).
- Minimum of 3 years (part-time) or 5 years (full-time) of nonprofit financial and grant experience.
- Strong understanding of nonprofit financial regulations and restricted funds management.
- Competence in financial tools such as QuickBooks or funder portals.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
