Job Summary
The role involves conducting data quality reviews on provider records to validate ICD-10 and CPT codes, auditing clinical documentation, and ensuring compliance with reporting and documentation standards. The Auditor will also educate providers, coders, and staff on guidelines, offer coding support, and contribute to the performance evaluation of revenue cycle personnel.
Responsibilities
Audit Medical Records
Perform CPT coding audits, ensuring alignment with clinical documentation.
- Compile detailed reports of audit findings.
- Meet established productivity targets for audits.
Provider Medical Record Audits
Conduct biannual audits for accurate CPT coding assignments.
Provider Communication and Education
Communicate with providers to validate observations and suggest enhanced documentation.
Team Training and Support
Train new BHMG revenue cycle team employees on coding and documentation guidelines.
Other Duties
Perform coding procedures as needed.
