Job Title : Sr System Backup Specialist (CommVault & AWS)

The System Backup SME will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our backup and recovery systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CommVault backup solutions and experience with AWS cloud services, ensuring that our data is secure and recoverable in the event of a disaster.

Responsibilities

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with CommVault backup solutions.
• Proven experience with AWS cloud services and AWS Backup
• Strong understanding of data storage, backup, and recovery principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Design and implement backup solutions using CommVault software.
• Manage and monitor backup operations to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Perform regular tests of backup and recovery procedures to verify system reliability.
• Collaborate with IT teams to optimize storage and backup infrastructure.
• Provide expert guidance and support for backup-related issues and initiatives.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in backup and recovery technologies.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Certifications in CommVault and AWS technologies.
• Experience with cross-platform backup and recovery (Windows, Linux, etc.).
• Knowledge of scripting languages for automation of backup tasks.
  
  

Working Conditions

Participation in on-call rotation for emergency backup and recovery situations.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
