We are seeking an experienced ELL Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year!

Summary:
The English Language Learner Teacher is a Highly Qualified and SEI endorsed teacher with at least three years of experience working specifically with English Language Learner (ELL) students in grades 3rd - 8th, providing intensive intervention in the areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking. The goal is to ensure that students are able to increase and/or meet state ELL proficiency levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides the leadership and knowledge needed to plan for the learning of each EL stage as outlined in the ELP Standards and PLC’s plan; provides aligned instruction as outlined in the plans.
- Ensures that all students reach EL proficiency and is responsible for grading using the ELP aligned Standards, tracking grades and ELP proficiency benchmarks.
- Plans, administers, and supervises academic programs aligned to ELP Standards for students.
- Responsible for understanding and delivering data reports to EL Director each quarter.
- Incorporates Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) in ELP Standards (when appropriate).
- Responsible for AZELLA testing 6th – 8th grades and assisting with testing K – 5th grades.
- Up-keeps, reviews, and aligns data binders for all 6th – 8th grade EL students in all 6th – 8th grade classrooms.
- Collaborates with colleagues, parents, and community members.
- Models and enforces rules and provides an appropriate response to student misconduct in a safe and respectful manner. Provides documentation for student incidents.
- Communicates with students, parents, advocates, and guardians as appropriate about student progress or lack thereof.
- Collaborates with EL Director to provide Professional Development (PD) to general education teachers, coaches, and administration.
- Is knowledgeable of and implements PLC Charter School policies and procedures.
- Is knowledgeable of Arizona ELP Standards and ensures said standards are maintained.
- Attends all mandatory meetings and evening programs for the school.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an accredited college or university.
- Current Arizona Teaching Certificate with Structure English Immersion (SEI) endorsement required.
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
