Support campuses with the implementation of English Language Proficiency Standards, Targeted and Integrated Instruction.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides ongoing support for teachers in the area of English Language Learning.
- Supports teachers in developing their ability to reflect upon their practice to improve instruction.
- Observes teachers and provides them with meaningful and specific feedback to improve instruction.
- Works with teachers in setting up management and planning aspects of their teaching assignments.
- Serves as a model teacher of targeted and integrated instruction.
- Using instructional strategies gathering small groups of students to support and maximize learning.
- Communicates with teachers regularly to problem solve and support/counsel as needed.
- Maintains a broad base of strategies and techniques to share with teachers with whom s/he works.
- Attends staff meetings and other training sessions appropriate for effective mentoring.
- Provides professional development as requested.
- Continues personal professional development.
- Helps coordinate and focus campus staff development program with principal.
- Ensure that PHLOTE students are tested according to federal and state regulations.
- Serves as a member of campus and district committees.
- Serves as the AZELLA Testing Coordinator for campus(s).
- Maintains appropriate confidentiality of information.
- Maintains accurate records and supporting data.
- Maintains a high level of ethical behavior.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or requested.

Education/Certification
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate with a Structured English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement
- Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC)
- Minimum of three years teaching experience
- Proven organizational skills
- Experience administering standardized tests and alternative assessments
- Experience with curriculum development and alignment
- Experience in supporting and coaching adult learners
- Read and interpret general documents such as employee handbooks and safety/training manuals
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Collaborative leadership skills
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Work with little supervision
- Interpret assortment of instructions furnished in variable forms
- Apply reason to research and solve moderately complex issues with little or no assistance
