Arundel Lodge, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Off-Site Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide direct care and hands-on support to individuals diagnosed with mental illness, supporting them in their recovery journey. You will have a caseload of 10 individuals, assisting them with case management, goal setting, and individualized support plans focused on their unique needs, including physical health, symptom management, and independent living skills.
This role is primarily independent, with the majority of the work completed off-site with the clients, meaning you will be working directly in the community, not within the facility. Flexibility in scheduling is available, with working hours ranging between 7am and 7pm, Monday through Friday, allowing you to create your own schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Care: Provide direct hands-on care to clients, including assistance with daily living skills, money management, symptom management, and support with diet and exercise.
- Case Management: Manage a caseload of 10 clients, develop individualized care plans, and track progress on goals related to mental and physical health, as well as independent living.
- Client Support: Assist clients with life skills, transportation, and promoting overall well-being through recovery-focused services.
- Independent Work: Most of the work will be completed off-site with clients in the community, not within the office or facility.
- Travel: Use your personal vehicle to travel to client locations within Anne Arundel County and Bowie (agency vehicles may be available but not guaranteed).
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least one year of experience in the mental health or psychosocial rehabilitation field.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a genuine passion for helping individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a relevant degree or certification is preferred.
- Vehicle: Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license, as this position requires travel to client locations.
