What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non-Profit Rehabilitation Specialist (Bay Ridge Program) position at Arundel Lodge?

Shifts available: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Requires HS/GED, prefer Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field, one-year experience working in the mental health/psychosocial rehabilitation field, or acceptable combination of education and experience. Driver's license with acceptable driving record required, drug screen.
The day-to day job responsibilities:
• Providing transportation,
• Assisting with money management,
• Making appointments,
• Diet coaching,
• Shopping,
• Cleaning,
• Assistance with ADL's,
• Teaching life skills,
Rehabilitation Specialists are expected to practice the Recovery Model in all interactions with members. The Recovery Model emphasizes hope, member responsibility, peer support, respect, empathy, non-stigmatizing language, empowerment, using members' strengths, and self-determination.
