Primary Purpose:
In this role you will deliver innovative products and services at a rapid pace, enabling our development teams to serve our customers seamlessly across physical, digital and cloud platforms. You will be engineering a platform that provides services and frameworks to developers as a secure, scalable and highly available platform by using a variety of technologies and tools such as: like AWS SageMakger, Rekognition, Comprehend, etc. Own, automate and troubleshoot the Production Releases for a complex set of Biocomputing solutions. You would also be utilizing other technologies such as AWS, Windows, Linux, SaltStack, MS SQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Docker, and Octopus.

Essential Functions:
Implement Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) and DevOps in transforming legacy environments, leverages experience and industry best practices as a team player.
Research, test, and pilot a new metrics collection system that can be reused for any application stack.
Define, select, implement and support a new configuration management system for a simplified orchestration workflow focused on applications. Do so while phasing out legacy configuration management system.
Work closely with development staff and train them on proprietary information and keeping that data safe across the enterprise.
Prototype reusable patterns and tools then coach developers on how to follow these best practices.
Deconstruct an old file store with an approved and defined solution and be able to perform without impact to customer base.
Ability to anticipate or see issues before they impact infrastructure or customer base.
Provides the build and deployment support to multiple projects.
Works with Configuration Management team to align organization and industry compliance best practices.
Assist development teams in implementing the versioning and archiving of the software artifacts and validation documentation in AWS/S3/Glacier.
Works with all teams in developing automation of manual activities in accordance with DevOps principles.
Advanced expertise with Shell Scripting.
Ability to define and implement industry standard practices around cloud platform security.
Ability to define, implement and support required certificates.
Advanced knowledge of Windows / Linux systems administration.
Setup/Configuration/Administration of tools like GIT and Splunk
Systems administration skills in Linux and Windows.
Setup/Configuration/Administration of Binary Repositories.
Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible
Scripting experience on multiple languages.

Physical and Other Requirements:
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.
ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
