Primary Purpose:
Responsible for all aspects of product development for ARUP customer-facing web properties in ARUP Connect and cloud-based Customer Relationship Management system (Salesforce.com). Oversees Program teams, portfolio roadmap and design, capital and operational budgets, development and implementation, change management and production support. Defines and implements department policy and procedure in accordance with SDLC best practices. Collaborates with key stakeholders and customers to assure that technology solutions are aligned with corporate goals and supporting service excellence.

Essential Functions:
Cultivates high-functioning Program teams by instilling purpose, ownership, and accountability, and by providing the resources and tools for excellent team performance.
Establishes strategic roadmap and operational plans for Program assets based on corporate objectives and customer needs.
Researches and develops new products or services to expand markets, monetize technology (directly and indirectly) and grow company revenue.
Develops comprehensive business case for new product funding or abandonment.
Manages short and long term decisions in relation to new product development strategies.
Oversees the development of new products, from inception to launch.
Utilizes enterprise information and analytics to render insights for improved decision making.
Identifies and implements ways to continually improve existing solutions, incorporating internal stakeholder and customer feedback.
Provides direction to the Program teams and oversight into design, scope, product features, and technical framework, throughout the development lifecycle.
Establishes methods and procedures for managing product strategy and development in accordance with software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
Implements Agile development methodology and user-centered design principles.
Incorporates the corporate directives for data management, data analytics, security, and privacy into products and solutions.
Builds strong working relationships with internal stakeholders throughout the organization: sales, marketing, finance, support staff, IT, laboratory, medical directorship, legal, compliance, and senior management.
Physical and Other Requirements:
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Communicate: Frequently and effectively communicate with others.
PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.
ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
Experience
Required- 10 years’ demonstrated success in delivering complex software solutions and enterprise-wide programs
- 10 years’ experience with software development lifecycle, product management, or related experience
- 10 years effective leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Programming/Engineering, Quality Assurance, UX/UI, Sales, Marketing (and marketing automation), Customer Support, and/or Finance
- Highly collaborative with ability to work with executives, customers, and stakeholders across business lines to influence and affect change to achieve common goals
- Ability to effectively drive business, culture and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment
- Ability to work quickly under pressure, make sound decisions, and adapt to competing demands
- Experience managing a portfolio of software products, preferably including cloud-based solutions
- Experience in strategic technology planning and execution, and policy development and maintenance
- Ability to build effective team, balance team and individual responsibilities, build consensus, get things done through others, work ethically and with integrity
- Experience with the legal and regulatory requirements within healthcare/laboratory sector
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
Education
Required- Bachelor's Degree or better in Computer Science or related field
- Master's Degree or better in Computer Science or related field
Licenses & Certifications
Preferred- Cert Purchasing Manager
