Arvin Post Acute, a respected and high-performing skilled nursing facility in the Bakersfield area, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursing department
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company standards
Lead and mentor clinical staff, fostering a positive and professional work culture
Coordinate care planning, resident assessments, and clinical outcomes
Participate in facility leadership meetings and strategic planning
Conduct staff evaluations, ongoing training, and performance improvement initiatives
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and families to ensure quality resident care
Respond to audits, inspections, and surveys to maintain high regulatory standards
Monitor staffing, scheduling, and retention within the nursing department
Qualifications:
Current RN license in the state of California (in good standing)
Minimum of 3 years in a DON or ADON role (Skilled Nursing Facility preferred)
Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proven success in staff development, compliance, and resident care management
EMR experience (PointClickCare preferred)
