Troy Corporation, an Arxada Company, is seeking a Microbiology summer intern to gain experience working in a Microbiology laboratory focused on preservative testing and development. The position is a 12-14 week program beginning in late May and ending in late August. Candidates should have interest in learning about preservative efficacy testing, development, and general microbiology techniques. No relocation or accommodations will be provided.
Specific Duties
Microbial Control Solutions (MCS) focuses on threats posed by microorganisms to people and planet through five distinct business lines including Professional Hygiene, Home & Personal Care, Wood Protection, Paints & Coatings and Material Protection.
Nutrition, Care & Environmental (NCE), meanwhile, provides materials used to manufacture composites for electronics, aerospace and other markets, as well as vitamins and nutritional ingredients, chemicals and performance intermediates, and raw materials for a wide range of high-performance applications.

Specific Duties
- Performs assisted and/or independent research in preservative efficacy testing or development, dependent on level of experience
- Assists Microbiologists with routine testing
- Candidate must be actively attending an accredited University for the duration of the internship pursuing a BS or MS
- Candidate should hold a minimum Science GPA of 3.0
- Candidate should have at least 1 year of laboratory experience
- Candidate have completed at least an undergraduate Sophomore grade or higher
