We are seeking a Technical Lead with an additional Senior Project Manager responsibility. This role involves:
Leadership in Project Execution – Driving the proposal, scoping, and execution of projects that address both internal and external customer needs. This includes optimizing team resources across the organization to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with well-defined, measurable outcomes.
Global Process Development & Technology Transfer – Overseeing the scale-up and transfer of new products and processes to internal or external manufacturing assets. Adherence to Best Practices – Ensuring that industry-leading methodologies and standards in chemistry and chemical engineering are consistently applied.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 50% – Process Development & Scale-Up
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of chemical process development, scale-up, and technology transfer for Arxada products.
- Plan and execute proof-of-concept laboratory and pilot-scale experiments.
- Define process variability and develop robust, safe, and cost-effective commercial production processes.
- Utilize experimental design, data collection, and analysis to drive data-driven conclusions.
- Apply fundamental principles of chemistry and chemical engineering, including mass and energy conservation, thermodynamics, kinetics, heat/mass transfer, and fluid mechanics.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maximize intellectual property value.
🔹 30% – Mentorship & Best Practices
- Teach, mentor, and guide teams in safety, chemical engineering technology, and collaboration while promoting Arxada’s core values.
🔹 20% – Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a role model for effective communication, ensuring project updates, technology reviews, and cross-functional discussions are clear and data-driven.
- Influence decision-making by providing well-structured insights and ensuring project timelines and budgets are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (Required); Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related field (Preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in process development, scale-up, and technology transfer (Required); 15-20 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, process engineering, or related fields (Preferred).
- Proven track record in project scoping, execution, and management within a chemical or manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or petrochemicals) is a plus.
The expected salary range for this role is 13K$-190K$, but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
