As a member of the software development team, you'll support Software Quality Assurance (SQA) for new features, issue resolutions, and customer customizations. Additionally, you'll assist with DevOps tasks, including lab system management, environment imaging, and automated build management.
This role is a hybrid position based in Buffalo Grove, IL.
What You'll Be doing:
- Design and document test plans and cases
- Execute and document smoke, functional, regression, stress, and exploratory tests
- Log defects in Azure DevOps
- Report test progress and status
- Participate in product design reviews
- Develop and implement automated test suites
- Ensure software meets design requirements
- Manage lab and automated build systems
- Deploy OS images to lab systems
- Perform other assigned duties
- Computer Engineering Degree, Computer Science Degree, or Technical College Degree with relevant work experience
- 3 years of SQA or DevOps experience
- Experience in test definition, documentation, and issue tracking
- Skilled in unit, functional, regression, and system integration testing
- Familiar with Microsoft Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps
- Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio
- Experience with C#, .NET, Java, PowerShell, Windows Command, Bash
- Knowledge of SQL Server, relational databases; Oracle experience is a plus
- Familiar with desktop hardware; server hardware experience is a plus
- Familiar with Windows OS; Windows Server and Linux experience is a plus
- Experience with cloud hosting (Azure, AWS)
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Familiarity with automation tech (robotics, PLCs, actuators, vision systems) is a plus
- Experience with test automation
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus
