Position Overview:
Arya Therapy Center is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking mental health treatment. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless, supportive, and efficient admissions process for clients, their families, and referral sources. The Admissions Coordinator will facilitate intake screenings, insurance verification, documentation processing, and collaboration with clinical teams to ensure clients receive the appropriate level of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial phone and in-person screenings to assess treatment needs and determine the appropriate level of care.
- Gather relevant medical, psychological, and substance use history to assist in creating personalized treatment plans.
- Work closely with clinical and medical teams to determine bed availability and appropriate treatment options.
- Schedule and coordinate admissions, ensuring a smooth transition for new patients into the treatment program.
- Maintain regular communication with referral sources, keeping them informed of patient admissions and progress when appropriate.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits, explaining financial responsibilities to patients and their families.
- Assist patients in exploring financial assistance options or payment plans, ensuring transparency in treatment costs.
- Provide clear and accurate information about treatment programs, services, and therapies offered at the center.
- Address questions and concerns from prospective patients, families, and referral sources with a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach.
- Handle urgent or crisis situations with professionalism, empathy, and swift decision-making.
- Provide immediate support and connect individuals to appropriate crisis resources when needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in admissions, intake coordination, or case management in a mental health, behavioral health, or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of mental health and substance use treatment programs.
- Experience with insurance verification, benefits coordination, and financial assistance processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to support clients and collaborate with teams.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and strong administrative skills.
