- Work with existing data sets on agriculture, forestry, and rural industries regarding challenges and opportunities for rural Alabama
- Collaborate with Dr. Russell and Dr. Taylor on USDA-funded research projects
- Develop and implement survey designs and methodologies
- Analyze and interpret complex quantitative data
Requirements
- Earned Ph.D. in sociology, rural sociology, demography, agricultural economics, or a related field
- Strong background in quantitative methods and statistical analysis
- Proficiency in programming languages such as STATA, R, or Python
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
