Senior International Accountant
ASA Electronics,LLC
The Position:
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be a key member of the Finance team and will have responsibility for a variety of general accounting responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue analysis, consolidation of statements, compliance filings, intercompany transactions both local and internationally. This position will work closely with our Asian facilities and the ability to speak Mandarin is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Daily flash reporting and analysis
- Cash and investment management
- Communicate with international staff and oversee all foreign accounting and operational transactions.
- Manage fixed assets, from capital requests to monthly depreciation
- Financial reporting: Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory reporting documents
- Financial analysis: Analyze financial reports and records, and perform variance analyses
- Account reconciliation: Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- Tax Preparation: Prepare federal, state, local, and special tax returns
- Audit assistance: Assist with internal and external audits, and investigate and resolve audit findings
- Managing flow of accounting data to/from remote facilities.
- Budgeting: Assist with preparing and monitoring budgets
- Communication: Communicate financial information to stakeholders and other departments
- Training and mentoring: Train and mentor junior staff
- Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 2 Years previous accounting experience preferred.
- Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP
- Ability to work under pressure
