What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grants Writer position at ASAC?
DescriptionPOSITION TITLE : Grants Writer REPORTS TO : Fund Development DirectorPOSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY : The Grants Writer will manage all aspects of ASAC grants, including but not limited to grant research and writing, grant compliance management, and grant reporting. The individual will work collaboratively staff managing grants and the finance department to develop concepts, research and prepare the grants. The individual will develop relationships with funders and coordinate meetings and presentations with funding resources.RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in communications or related field
- Excellent writing skillsA minimum of five years of demonstrated success in grant writing or related workProven record in successful grant writing at the local, state and federal level preferred
- Basic understanding and knowledge of budget development.
- Ability to use computer system, software and required data bases or technology.
- Ability to use independent judgment, analytical / decision-making skills, verbal and written communication skills, human relations skills, team working skills, and organizational skills.
- This position consists of frequent sitting and / or standing for extended periods of time.
