Work Schedule: 2ndshift: 2:30pm – 11:00pm
Positions Supervised: Production Associates and Area Leaders
POSITION SUMMARY
Supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating Associates. Assist the department by being involved in safety, quality, and production aspects within the department. The Casting Group Leader will be asked to prepare and present verbal and written reports as well as performing other related manufacturing duties as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
- Complete daily paperwork including accident investigations.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of Associates engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors and equipment operators.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new Associates, or assign Associates to experienced workers for training.
- Observe work, and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
- Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems and complaints.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
- Maintain operations data such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
- Recommend or implement measures to motivate Associates and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
- Determine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads.
- Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
- Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions.
- Support and monitor ERP System.
- Manage hold parts and handoff to Production Coordinator.
- Weekly timesheet justification.
- Achieve company and department business plans for Health and Safety Goals .
Experience
Two to four years related leadership experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly exposed to high temperatures. The Associate occasionally will be exposed to vibration. The Associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts with repetitive motions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, and dust levels may be high.

Pay: From $56,000.00 per year
