Director of Music Ministries at Asbury Methodist Church in Lincolnton, NC is hiring a Director of Music Ministries. Bachelor of Music degree and church music preferred but not a requirement.
Position Responsibilities :
- Works with the minister / worship team to design and choose music for weekly worship services.
- Works to expand music ministries of the church to include a strong adult choir, and additional groups for children, youth, or instrumentalists.
- Chooses, orders, and prepares and rehearses all music for all musical groups.
- Leads music and assists in weekly worship services.
- Works with AV team to communicate and rehearse music needs before Sunday morning, and arranges AV needs for special services well in advance.
- Video editing / worship videos and special projects as directed.
- Assist with securing accompaniment for weddings and funerals when available.
- Attend monthly church council meeting as liaison and support for worship committee.
- In case of absence, responsible for finding substitute musician.
Job Type : Part-time
Expected hours : No more than 12 per week
Salary : Dependent upon qualifications and experience. Paid monthly.
