The Inventory Specialist/Manager is responsible for managing all vehicles for auction and/or dealership inventory.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all inventory control related issues and processes
- Trade inventory with other dealers
- Manage the inventory replenishment process and analyze changes to inventory levels based on historical data and input from sales
- Minimize obsolescence and manage customer lease returns
- Maintain accounting of all vehicles on dealership property
- Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice
- Catalog and stores keys
- Assign stock control numbers to vehicles
- Runs reports to identify location of vehicles
- Setup auction lineup on a weekly basis as needed
- Protect dealership and customer information
- Maintain good relationships with department and dealership personnel
- Manage incoming cars, used inventory and incoming dealer trades
- Supervise inventory counts (periodic cycle and year end), research discrepancies, ensure timely adjustments
- Maintain pricing stickers on all vehicles as required
- Automotive experience required
- Must have high level organizational skills
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- Must have a Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test)
