Day Porter/Janitor

ASC Staffing is looking to hire *1* day porter and *1* part time (evening shift) night porter.
The Day Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for both employees and visitors. This position involves a combination of custodial tasks, floor care, and general maintenance duties across commercial and industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in designated areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure floors are well-maintained and presentable.
• Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensure restrooms are stocked, clean, and sanitized throughout the day.
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as lobbies, break rooms, and hallways.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with company policies.
• Support special cleaning projects as needed, including industrial cleaning and residential painting tasks when required.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing all cleaning duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with staff and visitors.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Day shift: 6AM-2:30PM

Night shift: 5PM-10PM

The right candidate(s) must be able to pass a background check and able to work unattended as well as in a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
