Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Assistant to join our team and support participants in ASCEND's Partial Hospitalization Housing Program. The Residential Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for program participants under the supervision of the Program Director/Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for participants.
- Provide direct assistance and guidance to participants.
- Ensure participant compliance with house rules and procedures.
- Supervise and assist with participant activities.
- Monitor and record participant's self-medication.
- Assist participants in developing daily living skills.
- Supervise visitation between participants and significant others.
- Provide security for participants and property.
- Document participant activity and maintain compliance with standards.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Additional Duties:
- Monitor and document participant's progress during shifts.
- Model appropriate behaviors and encourage completion of daily tasks.
- Participate in team meetings to address participant needs.
- Collaborate with supervisors to problem solve effectively.
- Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. CMS Status or CDCA certification is a must; additional education or training preferred.
3. Prior experience in substance use disorder/behavioral health field preferred.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with professionals.
6. Clear background check and drug screening required.
Performance Standards:
- Efficiently perform all duties within designated timeframes.
- Maintain accurate documentation records.
- Treat program participants with compassion and dignity.
- Cooperate with staff members as needed.
- Exhibit professionalism in all aspects of work.
- Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality requirements.
Physical Demand:
This role may involve exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, with sedentary work primarily involving sitting. Some walking or standing may be required periodically.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
