What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatrics Physician position at Ascend Medical Staffing?
Job Title: Outpatient/Inpatient Medicine Physician
We are seeking a board-certified physician to join our team in an outpatient/inpatient medicine setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients of all ages and be able to perform various medical procedures, including vent management, intubation, UVC, UAC, and lumbar punctures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Rounding on newborns
- Circumcisions
- Phone calls from ED
- ED consults
- Occasional stabilize and transfer of high-acuity patients
- Providing care to pediatric primary clinic patients
Work Schedule:
The locum physician will work 1-5 patients per shift and have the flexibility to structure their call weeks in a way that works best for them. This can include working straight through or working a span of days with breaks. For positions requiring two locums, one provider will work clinic and call for a portion of the 21 days, while the other works the remaining days.
Requirements:
- Board certification in medicine
- Experience working with patients of all ages
- Able to perform various medical procedures
