**Pediatrics Specialty Job Description**
We are seeking a qualified physician to provide pediatric care in a busy clinic setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for working with children and families.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Rounding on newborns and providing necessary care
- Performing circumcisions and other minor procedures
- Handling phone calls from the Emergency Department and providing ED consults
- Occasionally stabilizing and transferring patients with high acuity needs
- Caring for pediatric primary clinic patients
Schedule and Coverage:
The schedule includes coverage of scheduled clinic hours and call shifts. The call coverage is approximately 7 days per month, including nights and weekends. The dates of coverage are July 1, 2023 - January 31, 2024.
Work Environment:
The annual census for this position is approximately 296 births. The number of patients per shift ranges from 1-5. The hospital has multiple beds available for patient care.
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Pediatrics (BC)
- Experience with Paragon EMR system
