What are the responsibilities and job description for the CRNA position at Ascend Medical?
Good afternoon.
I have a permanent, full-time CRNA position available in Southern Ohio, approximately 90 miles south of Columbus, and 100 miles east of Cincinnati, near the borders with Kentucky and West Virginia. It is in a smaller town, known for its rich history and cultural heritage. Housing is affordable, cost of living is lower in comparison with the rest of the country. Outdoor recreation is abundant, with many options for hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and camping. It is right on the banks of the Ohio River, for those who love water sports. There are abundant opportunities for visiting State Parks, beaches, sports facilities, and public parks, as well as many public events like parades and festivals throughout the year. It is family friendly, with a feel of hospitable community..There are great restaurants, State Parks, It offers great benefits. The base salary range is $195K-$218K per year, on a guaranteed two year contract. Please see the details below:
Practice Location- Southern Ohio Medical Center
- No other surgery centers or locations to provide coverage at
Office Hours/Work Schedule- Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (cases start at 7:30 a.m.)
- hours may extend past 3:30 p.m. with Surgery add-on cases.
Staffing- 7 Anesthesiologists
- 18 CRNAs
- Call Schedule/CERP (if applicable)
CALL- Weekday and weekend call is 1:9; averaging 3-4 calls a month including weekend.
- Weekday call 7:00 am – 7:00 am • Weekend call Friday 7:00 am – Monday 7:00 am
- First call post day off
- Pay for Call (CERP) program
General Anesthesia- CRNAs occasionally assist in cardiac, but MDA is the primary provider •
Thoracic, Vascular, OB/maternity, ENT, Ophthalmology, Ortho, Peds – mostly for ENT
Requirements:- Active, Unrestricted OH License or Attain OH License
- Board Certified CRNA
- Clean DEA/Malpractice/NPDB
Salary Range: $195K - $218K annually- Benefits:
Vacation: 232 hours PTO
CME/Books & Journals: 5 days PTO and up to $5000
Deferred compensation: 457b plan. Defer compensation up to IRS limit of $19,500 year before taxes. No matching.
Retirement / Savings Plan: 403b plan. Defer compensation up to IRS limit of $19,500 year before taxes under age 50 and $26,000 for over age 50. SOMC matches dollar for dollar up to 2% of base pay.
Moving Expense: $10,000 paid to moving company
Malpractice Insurance Coverage: in a claims made insurance, in an amount of $1,000,000, per claim/$3,000,000, aggregate
Health Insurance: provider pays small premium, deducted from paycheck
Liquidated Damages: 70 mile and 2 year non-compete clause or liquidated damages of one year salary
Pay for call program (CERP) - explained by CFO
Bonus Incentives: excellent bonus incentives up to 30% of salary Student Loan Reimbursement: repay up to $80,000 ($10,000 per year for each year of service commitment)
Sign on Bonus: 15% of base salary (paid when contract signed and forgiven over 2 years)
