The Medical Switchboard Operator is responsible for providing efficient and professional telephone support to patients, visitors, and medical staff.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Provide information to callers about hospital services, departments, and doctors
- Schedule patients for Psychiatric Medication Management, Psychological Testing, and Ketamine Therapy.
- Triage and transfer calls to appropriate departments or extensions
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing calls
- Assist patients and visitors with directions and other inquiries
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical office, preferably within mental health
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
- Familiarity with medical terminology
