Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Tasks & Duties (What You'll Do)
- Performs general sewing, altering, and mending of articles
- Takes measurements for items to be sewn, altered, or mended
- Maintain files on all items made, issued, and discarded including patterns and materials used
- Provide proper care and cleaning of assigned equipment and work area
- Because of necessary fluctuations of workloads, a sewer may be required, on occasion, and according to need, perform duties outside his/her ordinary assignment
Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Shift Info
- Day Shift, 07:00 am to 04:15 pm
- Monday - Thursday
- Friday Shift, 7:00am to 12:00pm
Industrial Sewing Machine Operator Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)
- The ability to read, write and follow instructions
- 1 - 2 years of sewing experience a must (industrial sewing experience preferred)
- High School diploma or GED
