Counter Sales Associate Tasks & Duties (What you'll do)
Greeting customers in a positive manner and helping them find specific items
Duties may include ensure showroom is regularly stocked and inventory is properly rotated. Process sales orders by phone email or in person, mix or tint paint, process will call orders from stock in warehouse.
Provide product expertise and / or technical help as needed by customer, including MSDS sheets and hazard identification information.
Recommends and answers customers' questions by telephone and / or in person regarding features and benefits of products, prices, availability, and product uses based on customers’ needs and interests.
Perform duties related to inside sales, including but not limited to, credits billing, quoting prices.
Perform duties related to inside sales, including but not limited to, credits billing, quoting prices.
Properly handle any customer complaints or issues that occur and refer unresolved customer grievances to Supervisor or Manager.
Interface with other branches and departments in a productive and courteous manner
Promote an environment of continuous improvement.
Promote safety awareness and accident prevention.

Safely performs these and all other duties assigned by supervisor or management.
Consistently reads and responds to all correspondence, including email.
Successfully completes required training.
Perform additional duties as assigned, including work in other departments and locations as required.

Day Shift, 8 : 30 am to 5 : 30 pm
Monday - Friday
Counter Sales Associate Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)
Must maintain confidentiality
GED / High School Diploma
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Able to pass a background check
Able to work in the US
Effective interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
Being able to stand for extended durations of time
Must demonstrate ability to exercise judgment, initiative, and tact in dealing with customers both internal and external.

Must present a business-like manner and dress appropriately for business needs
Continuous speaking and hearing for interactions with coworkers. Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less for normal daily computer tasks, processing sales orders. Daily activities vary depending on the type of work needed, but could include : Standing : 81 % of the workday Sitting : Rarely less than 20% of the day Walking, changing positions could include 81 % of the day Carrying could include a range of 0 to 40 lbs., (a gallon of paint, or supplies) Lifting weight will range from 0 to 40 lbs., (a gallon of paint, or supplies) Pushing and pulling from 0 to 40 lbs., (a gallon of paint, or supplies) Reaching and grasping to include overhead up to 15% of the day Twisting : May turn head, twist neck up to 10% of the day; will twist upper torso and hips up to 45 degrees up to 10% of the day with / without lifting / holding objects Climbing : Reaching product may involves stairs and / or ladders of less than 15 steps up to 25% of the day Repetitive motion of hands : consistent use of hands for keyboarding and data entry or driving up to 51 to 80% of the day
