About the Role:
Job Title: Senior Backend Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with 7 years of experience in Java, expertise in AWS, and proficiency in Kotlin to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of working independently to develop and optimize backend solutions that drive our applications forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Kotlin.
- Leverage AWS cloud infrastructure to build secure and high-performing applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement backend architecture.
- Optimize and troubleshoot backend performance, ensuring system reliability.
- Work independently, taking ownership of backend development tasks from conception to deployment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
- Strong expertise in AWS services and cloud-native development.
- Proficiency in Kotlin for backend development.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality code.
- Experience with backend system design, API development, and database integration.
Location: Hybrid in Chicago, IL
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $115,000 – $120,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
