The Senior Manager is responsible for driving operational effectiveness across the pharmaceutical sales organization, with a strong focus on Veeva CRM & Events Management, Sample Operations, Fleet Management and Field Onboarding and Training. This position will collaborate internally with all US Commercial Stakeholders including sales leadership and supporting two field brand teams.
This position will be based in Princeton, NJ & this role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of operations and Veeva CRM systems:
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Operations & Veeva CRM/Events Management:
- Primary point-of-contact for field sales specialists and managers; provided daily end-user support
- Primary liaison to IT-Sales & Marketing Enablement team for business requirements definition, project prioritization, data stewardship, testing (UAT), and software release implementation activities.
- Administered quarterly sales territory alignments, territory hierarchy changes, roster maintenance.
- Member of cross-functional new product launch readiness teams
- Conduct new hire/onboarding training for Veeva CRM users
- Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding programs for new field employees.
- Conduct training sessions to ensure field staff are proficient in company policies, procedures, and tools.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Establish and lead territory and account alignments, including managing a third-party vendor.
- Roster Management
- Fleet Management, including conversion from a Reimbursement program to a Fleet program.
- Vendor Credentialing administrator for all field personnel.
- CRM administrator and trainer for sales with over 100 users
Sample Operations:
- Oversee demonstration educational devices warehouse & distribution
- Collaborate with Ascendis internal teams in support of managing demonstration devices forecast and distribution to US.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Manage direct to practitioner programs and leave behinds of demonstration educational materials
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience leading/managing vendors in the life science industry
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in field/sales operations, CRM management, and supply chain management.
- Manage and provide thought leadership on organizational omnichannel capabilities.
- Experience And Knowledge
- Demonstrated knowledge of sales operations and ability to identify and investigate operational needs, and opportunities, and leads the implementation of improvements within area of responsibility.
- Experience in omnichannel planning
- Experience supporting Veeva CRM applications.
- Excellent communication and training skills to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and technologies and stay updated with the latest advancements in data analytics tools, techniques, and industry trends.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently, within a multi-disciplinary team, and with external partners and vendors.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time domestically and internationally.
