Accounting Associate

Accountant/Bookkeeper

Description:

Our client is a boutique management consulting firm looking to bring on a new Accounting Associate/Bookkeeper to work with a book of small business clients. This includes working with CPAs and clients to complete monthly/quarterly financial reports, AP/AR, Payroll, and bank reconciliations.

Our ideal candidate has experience doing bookkeeping in a tax office and is very familiar with QuickBooks (desktop and online versions). This also requires an understanding of payroll and experience preparing quarterly/yearend payroll tax returns.

This role is work from home 4 days/week and on-site 1 day/week, offers outstaning work/life balance and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Data entry of financial transactions for multiple clients in accounting writeup software
• Review client Quickbooks general ledgers and prepare necessary journal entries
• Bank reconciliations and preparation of Financial Statements
• Process payroll tax/sales tax returns in a timely manner
• Provide office support (answering phones and customer service)

Skills:

• 1 year of general ledger accounting or consulting experience preferred
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Ability to prioritize based on deadlines
• Data entry skills, good with numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software
• Customer service and experience working with clients
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
