Ascendo Resources is actively seeking an AR/Billing Specialist with cash applications experience for an immediate, full-time, onsite position in New Hyde Park, NY (11042).

Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM | 40-Hour Work Week
Pay Rate: $20/hr - $22/hr
Position Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a key role in supporting the AR department by ensuring accurate posting and documentation of payments while maintaining full compliance with company policies and procedures. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process cash applications with precision and accuracy
- Post payments received from branches
- Submit credit card deposit data to the NYO
- Transmit remote deposits to Bank of America
- Compile collection sheets for check payments
- Scan paid tickets into DocuXplorer
- Respond to accounts receivable inquiries and follow up as needed
- Maintain clear and professional communication, both written and verbal
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance (or related field)
- 1 years of Accounts Receivable experience
- Strong background in cash applications, credit & collections, and billing systems
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Industry experience in Wholesale Distribution with foreign/domestic suppliers is preferred
- Strong customer service skills for both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills
