AP Specialist

Ascendo Resources is actively seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for an immediate, full-time, onsite, temp-to-hire position!

Our client, a nationwide organization, is located in New Hyde Park, NY 11042.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for high volume invoice processing, collaborating cross-functionally with several internal departments, and utilizing pivot tables for reporting purposes. This is a great opportunity for a hard-working, detail-oriented individual looking for an entry-level opportunity in accounts payable. Our client is willing to train!

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000/year (Based on experience)

Business Hours: 8am - 5pm (40 hour work week)

Responsibilities:

• Posting invoices and credit memos, managing vendor portfolios, and owning vendor relationships.
• Handling credit memos and cross-functional communication with receiving, purchasing, and vendors to resolve returns and credits.
• Following up meticulously on outstanding issues and ensuring all details are accurate.
• Utilizing Excel for reporting (e.g., pivot tables) and pulling data for analysis.
• High-volume data entry, email correspondence, phone outreach, and process adherence.
• Ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks while learning and adapting to internal systems and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Associates or bachelors degree
• 1 year of accounting experience
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented with excellent follow-up abilities.
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables).
• Quick learner capable of adapting to legacy systems and high workloads.
