Electronic Billing Coordinator
We are seeking an Electronic Billing Coordinator to compile, manage, and execute electronic attorney billing. The ideal candidate will maintain contact with attorneys, staff, vendors, and clients while ensuring the confidentiality of client and firm matters. A successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review and edit pre-bills in response to attorney and secretary requests.
- Submit electronic bills using specific E-billing software.
- Apply retainer funds as directed by attorneys.
- Execute complex billing tasks, including multiple discounts, split-party billing, and electronic bill preparation.
- Resolve errors generated by the E-billing process.
- Manage a high volume of monthly bills.
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, secretaries, and clients.
- Verify billing accuracy and supporting documentation.
- Research and respond to billing inquiries and discrepancies.
- Create billing schedules and various billing reports as needed.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Hands-on billing experience in a law firm is preferred.
- Experience with Elite, Aderant, Juris, or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workflow efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs, follow through with minimal direction, and take initiative.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work varied hours as needed.
- A college degree is preferred but not required.
