Quality Assurance Analyst (Manual Automation)
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Southside/Hybrid)
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for testing enterprise applications, integrations, and reports to ensure optimal functionality and quality before release. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills. This role involves both manual and automation testing, collaborating with development teams, and contributing to continuous process improvements.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with QA engineers, testers, and developers to align testing processes with project goals.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans and cases to assess product functionality, performance, and usability.
- Perform thorough testing across various stages of the product lifecycle.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to identify critical areas of the application.
- Document test scenarios, write and execute test scripts, and enhance automated testing using Kainos (preferred).
- Work closely with developers and product managers to address quality issues early in the development process.
- Track and monitor quality metrics such as defect rates and test coverage.
- Participate in meetings, discussions, and present information professionally.
- Assist and mentor end users as needed.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Test multiple software applications, collaborating with teams on mid-to-large scale projects.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in QA methodologies and tools.
- Support defect tracking and resolution, ensuring timely escalation of critical issues.
- Promote a culture of quality and align with company diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Focus on delivering quality results in a team-oriented environment.
- Support other QA department initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, BCIS, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software development, business systems analysis, or quality assurance.
- Experience in developing test scripts.
- Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail).
- Proficiency in software testing principles including STLC, test strategy, test case creation, and various testing types.
- Experience testing CRM/ATS and ERP applications (Bullhorn and Workday preferred) or QA experience in staffing/back-office environments.
- Strong analytical skills to assess risks and mitigate product quality issues.
- Understanding of software development procedures including SDLC, code merge and deployment, and Agile practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Familiarity with servers, databases, and APIs.
- Ability to prioritize testing efforts and defect resolution based on business impact, risk, and deadlines.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience in a fast-paced environment is a plus.
