Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee our accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, general ledger management, and auditing, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• General Ledger Management: Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in budget preparation, financial projections, and variance analysis.
• Tax & Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in preparing tax returns and audits.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Monitor and manage accounts to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Internal Controls: Develop and enforce accounting policies and internal controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits and regulatory reviews.
• Team Collaboration: Mentor junior accountants and work closely with finance teams to improve financial processes.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Accounting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of tax laws and compliance requirements relevant to the company’s operations.

Work Environment

• Full-time position, typically office-based with remote work flexibility if applicable.
• May require extended hours during financial closing periods or audits.
