Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee our accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, general ledger management, and auditing, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in budget preparation, financial projections, and variance analysis.
- Tax & Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in preparing tax returns and audits.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Monitor and manage accounts to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Internal Controls: Develop and enforce accounting policies and internal controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits and regulatory reviews.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior accountants and work closely with finance teams to improve financial processes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Accounting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of tax laws and compliance requirements relevant to the company’s operations.
Work Environment
- Full-time position, typically office-based with remote work flexibility if applicable.
- May require extended hours during financial closing periods or audits.
