The Wire Transfer Operations Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of domestic and international wire transfers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Processing: Process and review wire transfers via SWIFT, Fedwire, and internal payment systems.
- Verification and Resolution: Verify transaction details, resolve exceptions, and escalate discrepancies or potential fraud.
- Compliance and Due Diligence: Ensure adherence to AML, BSA, and OFAC regulations, conducting due diligence on transactions.
- Customer Support: Provide high-level support to internal stakeholders and high-net-worth clients regarding wire inquiries.
- Reconciliation and Reporting: Perform daily reconciliations, maintain transaction records, and generate reports for audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in system upgrades.
Requirements:
- Experience: 1 years in wire operations within a financial institution.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of SWIFT, Fedwire, CHIPS, and core banking systems (Jack Henry AS400, Payplus, Finastra preferred).
- Compliance: Strong understanding of AML, OFAC, and compliance protocols.
- Skills: High attention to detail, analytical thinking, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Language Skills: Bilingual Spanish and English.
