Job Summary:
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and overseeing repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operating results. They will oversee the company’s facility operations while managing staff and remaining in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
Facilities and Central Purchasing Responsibilities:
- Understand and manifest the mission, vision and values of Ascension DePaul Services (ADSSA)
- Serves on the Senior Leadership Team
- Manages special projects as directed by the CEO/DOO
- Oversees the maintenance of all facilities to insure they are in proper working order and safe
- Oversees proper working of all functions in facilities, circuits; plumbing and electrical, etc.
- Demonstrates proficiency in oral and written communication
- Attends Board meetings and staff meetings as appropriate
- Preform basic facility maintenance, repairs, painting, and other task when required
- Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required
- Coordinate system repairs and monitor system performance
- Maintains adequate parts inventory and order items for work order accomplishments
- Ensure that all vehicles are insured with maximum coverage, operational, and in safe conditions.
- Contract out landscaping services and janitorial services.
- Oversee and supervise team of maintenance technician(s)
- Execute equipment audits and record-taking policies
- Coordinate with the DOO/CEOs on the implementation of new building projects
- Responsible for accurate designation and tracking of all keys
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of ordering and keeping inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies
- Fully understand and implement knowledge of current policies
- Responsible for the proper process of receiving bids of any capital improvements, repairs, and contracts.
- Mange, distribute, and schedule of work orders submitted by department heads.
- Conduct inspections of facilities and assure work orders are completed in a timely manner, as well as quality of work.
- Assure proper execution of monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, and annual preventive maintenance of all fire safety equipment, health inspections, and HVAC systems at all facilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in engineering, construction, or facility management preferred.
- Related specialized training or 10 years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Three (3) to Five (5) years progressive responsible management experience
- Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations and ensuring facilities comply with relevant laws and regulations
- The ability to balance multiple tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines
- The ability to manage a staff of facility workers and oversee third-party contractors
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to read and understand blue print plans
- Strong procurement and negotiation skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
