Job Summary: 

 

Responsible for providing excellent Client Service support to ADSSA clients in a courteous, professional 

manner in order to improve client satisfaction of provided ADSSA services.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is obtained.
  • Assist patients with check-in/check-out and registration process.
  • Schedule appointments and manage appointment calendars.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and address inquiries and or direct calls to the appropriate staff members.
  • Maintain patient records and update demographic information as needed.
  • Verify insurance information and process necessary paperwork.
  • Collect co-payments, deductibles, coinsurances, and balances if any.
  • Coordinate patient referrals when necessary.
  • Assist with medical administrative support tasks as assigned.
  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying providers of patients’ arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.
  • Manage and organize patient files and medical records.
  • Liaise between patients and medical staff to ensure smooth flow of information.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other team members.
  • Relay messages accurately and promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  • Monitor and order office supplies as needed.
  • Assist in the coordination of office lunches or meetings.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Safeguard sensitive information and maintain a secure office environment.
  • Assist with back office medical assistant duties as assigned.

 

 

Complexity of Work:

 

  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

 

Personal Protective Equipment:

 

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Minimum Qualifications 

Qualifications:

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent required 
  • A minimum of 2 Year previous experience in the healthcare industry working in a medical office
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all the levels both oral and written
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications 
  • Experience with EPIC EMR (preferred) 
  • Excellent written and communication skills 
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute preferred
  • Bilingual Preferred. (English/Spanish)

 Licensure/Certification/ Registration:
