Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking an associate with 4 years of transactional experience with the ability to quickly integrate and support the firm’s Venture Capital & Emerging Companies practice in New York. Responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and negotiating venture capital investment agreements including NVCA forms
- Leading negotiations of key terms of all venture capital investment agreements
- Supervising, training and mentoring associates in all aspects of venture capital financing
- Advising emerging companies on typical matters that arise in their day-to-day operations, including board and stockholder communications and approvals and equity awards
The firm requires working from the office approximately 60% of the time in accordance with the firm’s published guidelines.
Qualifications
- Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
- Must be admitted or eligible for admission in New York or Massachusetts
- A minimum of four years of venture capital and emerging company practice experience
- Knowledge of Excel and capitalization tables
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Professionalism in working and engaging with clients and colleagues
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and balance competing responsibilities
- Ability to stay organized and exercise extreme attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings
The salary range for this position is $310,000 to $365,000.
