We are seeking a seasoned Insurance Defense Attorney with significant experience in construction defect and first-party property law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense and be well-versed in required defense reporting. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage cases from inception to resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle cases related to construction defect and first-party property claims from start to finish.Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and attend court appearances.Provide strategic advice to clients on legal matters, keeping them informed of case developments.Prepare defense reports as required, ensuring compliance with reporting guidelines.Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies.Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in the state of Florida.Minimum of 7 years’ experience in insurance defense with a focus on construction defect and first-party property law.Proven ability to handle a high volume of cases with varying levels of complexity.Strong knowledge of required defense reporting practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
