Duties
- Assisting library patrons of all ages with effective use of library facilities and resources.
- Creating and maintaining patron library accounts.
- Circulating books, audio visual, and other library materials.
- Providing reference services to the public.
- Assisting in the use of public computers, copiers, and other technology.
- Accurately completing financial transactions.
- Returning borrowed items to correct location on shelving.
- Maintaining branch’s cleanliness and organization.
- Planning and presenting programming to all ages.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with technology including Microsoft Office, online retrieval of information, and the ability to learn library applications such as eBooks and other digital downloads.
- Excellent customer services skills.
- Organization and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
