Job Title: Substitute Teacher (K-12th grades)
Location: Ascent Classical Academy of Northern Colorado, Windsor, CO
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports To: Dean of Faculty
Work Hours/Days: M-F Hours vary according to assignment. Not to exceed 29 hours/week
Wage: Day rate established based on position and hours worked. $150 - $265 per day, pro-rated for part-time

The Board of Directors at ACANC have contracted with Minga Education Group to provide employment services for all staff that work onsite at ACANC. Through this partnership, MEG provides ACANC with employment services, personnel system for human resources, benefits, payroll services as well as access to a 401k plan. For naming purposes, Minga Education Group is the employer.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrate high moral character and embrace the virtues of a democratic society
- High school diploma (Associate degree or higher is preferred)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Satisfactory background check as required by state law and Colorado Department of Education
- Conviction in the values of a rigorous liberal arts education
- Loyalty to the school and ACA's mission and vision
- Commitment to model moral character in line with the school's core virtues
- Adherence to all ACA policies, including but not limited to the Employee Handbook, Family Handbook, and all applicable school and board policies
- Punctuality and attendance

- Professionalism in appearance and speech
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer or standing to teach.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to traverse classroom and adjust ones tone and height, by bending or leaning, in order to teach each child.
