The Role
The Senior Appraisal Coordinator is responsible for all appraisal assignments and ensures all aspects of appraiser independence compliance are met. The Appraisal Coordinator works together with several departments as necessary, including Sales, Underwriting, Processing, and Production to provide efficient fulfillment of appraisal reports for loan origination.
The Work
- Verify and document receipt of appraisal deposits, ensuring timely processing and record-keeping.
- Identify and engage the most qualified and geographically competent appraiser for each assignment, considering experience, expertise, and market familiarity.
- Ensure the assigned appraiser has complete and accurate information, including property details, borrower information, and all supporting documentation necessary to produce a comprehensive and compliant appraisal report.
- Act as a liaison between appraisers, Sales, and Underwriting teams, obtaining additional details, clarifications, or documentation as needed to facilitate a seamless appraisal process.
- Provide regular updates to Sales and Processing teams regarding the progress and expected completion of appraisal assignments, addressing any potential delays or issues proactively.
- Oversee the entire appraisal pipeline, ensuring adherence to State, Federal, and Company policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintain a thorough understanding of industry standards, compliance requirements, and best practices to uphold integrity and mitigate risk in the appraisal process.

Salary range is $80,000-$100,000 per year, with a discretionary bonus of 15 % per year
