ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)
Employee Relations Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and complaints.
- Mediate and resolve conflicts between employees, managers, and teams to maintain a harmonious work environment.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on company policies, procedures, and workplace issues.
- Advise and train managers and supervisors on best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances.
- Develop additional training as needed to ensure managers are equipped with the skills to handle employee relations effectively.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints or concerns, including misconduct, harassment, and discrimination.
- Document investigations, findings, and outcomes to ensure compliance and protect the organization from potential legal risks.
- Prepare reports summarizing investigation outcomes, with recommendations for corrective action if necessary.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulations regarding employee relations.
- Work closely with the legal department to handle situations that may result in legal action, ensuring appropriate measures are taken.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in employment law and ensure the organization’s practices remain compliant.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and departments in the preparation for and participation in negotiations with employee and labor groups
- Promote a positive company culture by organizing employee feedback programs and conducting regular surveys to gauge satisfaction.
- Implement initiatives to boost employee morale, engagement, and retention.
- Develop and deliver training to management on conflict resolution, employee relations best practices, and legal compliance.
- Represent the organization in contract negotiations, meetings, and negotiations with employee and labor organizations.
- Collaborate with leadership on matters of policy and terms of memoranda of understanding before and throughout the negotiation process.
- Advise leadership and the legal department in preparing for labor negotiations and other employee group discussions.
- Provide clear and consistent guidance to employees and management on company policies, procedures, and legal rights.
- Assist in the development and communication of HR policies to ensure understanding and adherence across the organization.
- Collaborate with management on matters of policy and implementation to ensure consistency in approach and execution.
- Advise managers on employee performance-related issues, including coaching and disciplinary actions.
- Support the fair and consistent application of performance management processes and corrective actions.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations or HR generalist functions.
- Proven experience in handling employee complaints, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Experience in labor relations and contract negotiations.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Personal integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information.
