What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Training & Technical Solutions Consultant position at Ascent Pro Support?
Ascent Pro Support is hiring several Field Training / Technical Solutions Consultants (TSCs). These are contractor, salary positions, traveling extensively to tire retreading plants throughout the US & Canada. You must have a dynamic personality and be able to communicate with a wide variety of clients and customers. Customer service is a critical skill for this role. We are seeking candidates who are confident and approachable. Most training will occur individually so great communication and soft skills are a must. Primary responsibilities are to train retread plant personnel on upgraded software, prepare the plant for the upgrade including guiding plant personnel through the entire conversion process, and provide software support to ensure a smooth transition. Additionally, the chosen candidates will become subject matter experts (SMEs) to provide Tier 2 technical support. This position requires up to 50% travel to customer retread plants throughout the U.S. and Canada. You must live in one of the following states : Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, or Wisconsin. Candidates will need to live no more than 30 miles from a major airport.
Job duties include, but are not limited to :
- Ability to quickly develop rapport and strong relationships with customers, both on-site and remotely.
- Travel up to 50% of the time to customer retreading plants throughout the US and Canada.
- Conduct presentations, both in-person and remotely, to introduce existing customers to the new technology.
- Expertly train each the customer's personnel in new or upgraded software.
- Guide the customer through the upgrade, resolve all software and hardware issues, and ultimately support the customer through successfully using the new system.
- Clearly communicate technical concepts to customer audiences.
- Properly resolve or escalate issues following an established escalation process.
- Facilitate discussions to discover solutions, as well as capturing and transforming business and technology requirements into production-based plants.
- Demonstrate strong presentation skills one-on-one, with small and large groups, and possess strong analytical, leadership & communication skills.
- Should be flexible to work on new technologies and be able to understand production business process.
- Other duties as assigned.
