What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT & Electronics Technician position at Ascento AG?
Role:
We are seeking a fast-learner IT or electronic technician with a hands-on attitude, to help with software installation, electronic testing, and robot testing.
We are looking for someone to start by March 1st.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bring our robots alive, installing software, firmware in all sensors, calibrating cameras, and testing sub components.
- Find issues in new robots, debugging their origin and pin-pointing what component is faulty.
- Design and run tests for robots, both for the factory acceptance tests, as well as for pre-deployment tests.
- Solder and fix simple electronic components.
Background:
- Hands-on experience with mechatronic systems, ideally involving software and electronics (robotics, IoT, embedded, etc)
- Familiar with common robotics tools like ubuntu, terminal, Docker, etc, is a plus.
- Multidisciplinary, not scared to get your hands dirty replacing robot parts or learning new programming languages or tools.
- Goal driven and independent, getting robots working properly is top priority and you can figure out how to do it.
- Good English skills (Level C1)
